Hausse des mises en chantier d'habitations en juillet à WindsorWINDSOR, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - 9 août 2012) - Selon les données provisoires diffusées aujourd'hui par la Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement (SCHL), les constructeurs ont coulé les fondations de 58 logements en juillet dans la région métropolitaine de recensement (RMR) de Windsor, alors qu'ils en avaient commencé 56 à pareil mois en 2011.
« Le nombre de mises en chantier d'habitations en juillet est très proche de celui de juillet 2011, a déclaré Paul Tessaro, analyste de marché à la SCHL. Avant le mois de juin, les niveaux atteints par la construction résidentielle ont largement dépassé ceux de 2011 tous les mois sauf un. Le ralentissement n'est pas vraiment surprenant puisqu'il était difficile de soutenir un tel rythme. »
En juillet, il s'est commencé 53 maisons individuelles, 2 jumelés et 3 maisons en rangée dans la région de Windsor.
