Les marchés de l'habitation resteront stables en 2012TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - 14 juin 2012) - Selon l'édition du printemps du rapport Perspectives du marché de l'habitation, RMR de Hamilton et RMR de Brantford publié par la Société canadienne d'hypothèques et de logement (SCHL), la demande de logements existants restera sensiblement la même en 2012 qu'en 2011 sur ces deux marchés, grâce à l'arrivée de ménages en provenance de régions avoisinantes. Sur le marché du neuf, la montée des prix des maisons individuelles et l'offre limitée de terrains dans certaines zones favoriseront les mises en chantier de bâtiments résidentiels de haute densité.
« Une certaine léthargie est observée dans certains secteurs de l'emploi régional, mais les marchés du neuf et de la revente connaîtront des conditions relativement stables jusqu'en 2013, en raison de l'activité d'acheteurs provenant de région avoisinantes où les prix sont plus élevés, a déclaré Sarah Fong, analyste principale de marché à la SCHL pour les région métropolitaines de recensement (RMR) de Hamilton et de Brantford. La nature relativement abordable des marchés de ces RMR est le moteur de la demande. »
