| Project: | concrete foundation, structural steel frame, electric heating system, Construction of a K-8 elementary school with a childcare centre. The proposed construction is load-bearing masonry throughout with precast concrete floor system and steel roof structure. There will be masonry tyndall stone cladding, millwork, suspended t-bar ceiling systems with acoustic tile and gypsum board finishes. The mechanical heating/cooling system is comprised of an electric boiler, chiller, hydronic radiant floor heating, and active chilled beams. The building will also include a drinking water treatment system. The building will not include a sprinkler system. The construction will include a fire cistern on-site to meet NBC code requirements for firefighting capacity. |
