| Project: | Construction of North West PATH Pedestrian Tunnel from Union Station to 1 University Ave. The North West PATH is a pedestrian tunnel travelling from the north west corner of Union Station to the north west side of the intersection of York St and Front St. The tunnel consists of a cut and cover cast-in-place reinforced concrete tunnel structure with architectural finishes, and mechanical and electrical services. The tunnel terminates at street level with a glass elevator and stair enclosure. Work will also include support of excavation, traffic control, removal and/or relocation of utilities, installation of new utilities, and reconstruction of the road allowance. Utilities affected include but not limited to sewers, watermains, street lighting, traffic signals, Toronto Hydro, Hydro-One, Bell, Enbridge, Rogers, Cogeco, Telus, Group Telecom, and TeraSpan. |
