| Project: | Construction of two run of river greenfield hydroelectric facilities with a total generating capacity of approximately 20MW. Gitchi Animki Bezhig (GAB) facility (the "Upper White River Project") will create 10 MW and Gitchi Animki Niizh (GAN) facility (the "Lower White River Project") will create 10 MW. Sites are approximately 12 km from each other. Each Facility will include rock filled dam, intake, diversion / spillway structures, roads, powerhouses (main units and compensation units), switchyard and transmission line, and tailrace, intake and diversion channels. The electrical power and energy to be generated at the lower site will be transmitted through an 115kV switchyard and transmission line to connect into an 115kV switchyard at the upper site from where a 115kV line will be connected to the existing Hydro One 115kV line (M2W) running along Highway 17. |
