Kenaidan continues construction on parking garage at Ajax, Ontario GO Transit commuter train station

Work is progressing on the Ajax GO Station Parking Structure in Ajax, Ontario, east of Toronto.
General contractor Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. began the six-level, design-build parking structure with 1,300 spaces in June 2011. The owner is Metrolinx and completion has been scheduled for August 2013. The work includes extensive improvements to the existing platform, permanent platform extensions, a new elevator and stairwell structure, connection to the pedestrian tunnel including finishing works, platform canopies and rehabilitation of existing platforms.
Prime consultant and structural consultant is Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd. and the architect is IBI Group Architects. Other consultants are: R.V. Anderson Associates (civil) and MCW Consultants Ltd. (mechanical/electrical).
Subcontractors include: H & S Equipment (excavation); Carnello Civil Construction Ltd. (site services); Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd. (drilled piers); Mansteel Rebar Ltd.; Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. (formwork and mechanical); Armtec Limited Partnership, (by its general partner, Armtec Holdings Limited); Canadian Iron Corp. (structural and steel deck); James Dick Construction Ltd. (concrete); Net Electric Ltd.; AMA Roofing & Sheet Metal Inc. and Kone Inc. (elevators).
