VIA Rail seeks proposals for Halifax property development

Federal crown corporation VIA Rail Canada Inc. recently announced it is asking potential investors to make formal proposals to develop property near the passenger train station in Halifax.

“As part of its ongoing modernization, VIA Rail Canada recently sought expressions of interest (EOI) from a number of potential investors to partner with VIA in the development of some four acres of its property in the area surrounding the Halifax train station,” the train operator stated in a press release. “Pre-qualified candidates from the EOI stage of the project will now be asked to make a formal proposal.”
