The council is there to play a leadership role in developing the province's occupational health and safety strategy, says George Gritziotis, the province's chief prevention officer.
Wednesday's DCN also includes information on construction contracts recently awarded at Canadian defence establishments. A multitude of deals were announced at the air force base at Goose Bay Labrador, while Marcrest construction inked a $1.2 million contract, administered by Defence Construction Canada, for upgrades to barracks at Area Training Centre Meaford.
