VIDEO: The VRCA's U40 Network

The Vancouver Regional Construction Association recently changed the name of their construction networking group from the U35 to the u40 Network, in order to encourage further participation amongst the construction industry’s younger workers and managers.

Fraser McIntosh, the Chair of the U40 Network, took some time out to speak to the Journal of Commerce about the many activities of his group, including networking get-togethers, mentoring breakfasts featuring construction industry leaders and charity work.

Some of the charity work the U40 Network has recently been involved in includes fixing up residences in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside neighbourhood and contributing to construction and repairs at the Zajac Ranch for children.

Looking forward, McIntosh expressed a desire to expand the U40 further and pointed to similar efforts at the Toronto Construction Association as a model for his organization to follow.
