Work continues on the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant Expansion Phase 2 in Mississauga, Ontario

Construction on the Lakeview Water Treatment Plant expansion Phase 2, Contract 8, continues in Mississauga, Ont.
General contractor Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. began the project in April 2011 and completion is scheduled for August 2014. The work includes demolition of existing structures, constructing a new 400ml/day water treatment facility and a new operations building. When completed, the new facilities will be tied into the existing plant.
The owner is the Regional Municipality of Peel and Prime consultant is CH2M HILL Canada Limited. Subcontractors include: Quantum Murray LP, Murray Demolition Division (demolition); Blu-Mar Excavating & Grading Ltd.; Moretti Excavation Ltd. (yard piping); I.B.L. Structural Steel Ltd.; James Dick Group Inc. (concrete); Kenaidan Contracting Ltd./M.J.R. Contractors Ltd. (concrete formwork); Johnson Controls; Insulcana (insulation); Kenaidan Contracting Ltd. (mechanical); Lexsan Electrical Inc.; Glover-Hill Inc. (plumbing/piping); Trademark Mechanical (sheet metal) and Algoma Contracting (waterproofing).
