MQM Quality Manufacturing inks $13-million bridge repair contract in Miramichi, New Brunswick

The New Brunswick department of transportation and infrastructure recently announced that MQM Quality Manufacturing Ltd. has been awarded a $13-million contract to upgrade a bridge in Miramichi.

Four bids were received for the contract, which includes structural steel repairs, upgrades and painting to the Centennial Bridge, the province stated in a press release.

Tracadie-Sheila-based MQM submitted the winning bid of $13,021,500.

The Centennial Bridge, which crosses the Miramichi River, is 45 years old and overweight permits have been restricted.
