Partner organizations including the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) have been invited to nominate candidates from their community or organization for the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal, created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada.

Individuals in Canadian construction who have made a significant impact in their communities or industry could receive a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal .

The Canadian Construction Association (CCA) has been approached by the Governor General’s office to take part in the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal Program.

CCA has been allocated 38 medals to be presented to “individuals/volunteers from the construction industry across the country that have made a significant contribution” to a particular Canadian province or region that “brings credit to Canada and has helped to build the Canada of today.”

CCA will make the final submission to the Diamond Jubilee Medal Program for the 38 industry nominees. The association’s executive committee is currently finalizing the process by which it will solicit nominations from its partner associations.

The nominations must be submitted by CCA before Dec. 31 and the medals must be presented by Feb. 28, 2013.
