RFP issued for Quinte, Ontario court complex

TORONTO

A request for proposals has been issued for the new Quinte Consolidated Courthouse project to select an architectural firm to lead the planning, design and compliance aspects of the project.

The Quinte courthouse complex will bring together existing courthouse facilities into one new location. Currently, the region’s Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice operate from three locations in Belleville and one in Trenton. The Quinte Consolidated Courthouse will be located in Belleville at 194 Coleman Street, near City Hall.

The project is targeting a LEED silver designation and will be built using a design-build- finance-maintain model.

The RFP closes on July 6, 2009.
