KBR buys Canadian general contractor Wabi Development Corp.

NEW YORK

Engineering, construction and services company KBR Inc. has bought Canadian general contractor Wabi Development Corp. for $19.5 million, in a move to expand its footprint.

Privately-held Wabi is based in Ontario and employs about 350 people, working for clients in Canada and Mexico in the energy, forestry and mining industries.
