Vietnamese construction industry faces severe shortage of workers

HANOI

Vietnam’s construction industry is facing a severe labour-force shortage, states that country’s Ministry of Construction.

The ministry reported that the industry’s trained labour force had met only 25 per cent of its labour demand. Meanwhile, construction is considered one of the industries with the highest growth rate. The industry’s annual growth rate has been forecast at 15 to 20 per cent.
