Centre Rising
Construction moves along for the Thornhill City Centre condominium project in Thornhill, Ont.
General contractor Darcon Inc. began the two 15-storey, buildings in January and completion is scheduled for April 2005. There will also be two levels of underground parking.
The project was designed by Kirkor Architects and Planners. Consultants are: N.C.K. (structural); Able Engineering Inc. (mechanical/electrical); and PD3 Workshop (landscape).
Subcontractors include: Magine General Contractors Inc. (excavation); Shor-Cais Consulting Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Premform Ltd. (formwork); Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Global Precast (structural steel); Dufferin-Custom Concrete Group (concrete supply); Primo Mechanical Inc. (mechanical); Speedy Electric Contractors Ltd. (electrical); Quest Window Systems Inc. (windows); Protech Roofing Waterproofing Ltd. (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd. (elevators).
