General contractor PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began the work last December and completion has been scheduled for June 2005. The 13-storey facility with three levels below grade will have research laboratories, teaching facilities and faculty/support staff services.
The project was designed by Foster & Partners and Moffat Kinoshita Architects Inc.
Consultants are Yolles Partnership Inc. (structural) and H.H. Angus & Associates (mechanical/electrical).
Subcontractors include: Matt’s Excavating Inc.; Premform Ltd. (formwork); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Walters Inc. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); Lockerbie & Hole Contracting Inc. (mechanical); State Group Commercial (electrical); Basic Structure Engineering (windows); Rainbow Group Ltd. (roofing); and Selco Elevators Ltd. (elevators).
