More Mount Sinai in Toronto

Steel work is moving along for the addition to Mount Sinai Hospital on University Ave. in Toronto. General contractor Vanbots Construction Corp. began the 150,000 square-foot, six-storey addition to the existing 14th floor in August 2007 and completion has been scheduled for March 2009. The project was designed by G & G Partnership Architects. Consultants are Halsall Associates Ltd. (structural) and LKM Consulting Engineers Inc. (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Outspan Concrete Structures Ltd. (formwork); Canadian Precast Ltd. Mometal Inc. (structural steel); Decoral Painting; Anco Contracting Inc. (drywall); Limen Masonry; Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); The Plan Group (electrical); Gage Metal Cladding (siding/deck); Flynn Canada (Toronto) Ltd. (glass/roofing/waterproofing); and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
