Below-grade work continues at 501 Adelaide Street East in Toronto, an affordable housing project owned by Toronto Community Housing Corp.
Bluescape Construction Management builds Adelaide Street project
Construction manager Bluescape Construction Management Inc. began the 14-storey, 180-unit Toronto Community Housing building in September 2007. Completion is scheduled for May 2009.
Designed by architectsAlliance, the project will offer retail space on the ground floor and two levels of underground parking.
Consultants are Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural); Jain & Associates (mechanical/electrical); and The Planning Partnership (landscape).
Subtrades include Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar); Delgant (Civil) Ltd. (formwork); CBM (concrete supply); Village Masonry; D. Zentil Mechanical Ltd.; Jenner Electric Ltd.; Allan Window Systems Inc.; Viana Roofing & Sheet Metal Ltd. (roofing); and Kone Inc. (elevators).
