Work is on the rise at 15 York Street in Toronto, site of the Maple Leaf Square residential/commercial project.

PCL keeps cranes flying at Maple Leaf Square

Construction manager PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began the 48-storey, 872-unit Maple Leaf Square project in January 2007. Completion has been scheduled for December 2009.

The Maple Leaf Square project was designed by Page+Steele Architects for owner York Bremner Developments Ltd. The development includes a hotel, office, daycare, retail, dining lounge and four levels of underground parking.

Consultants are Jablonsky Ast & Partners (structural) and Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers (mechanical/electrical).

Subtrades include Michael Bros. Excavating; Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd.; The Atlas Corp. (dewatering); Salit Steel Ltd. (reinforcing steel); Aviance Forming Ltd. (formwork); Limen Masonry; Flynn Canada Ltd. (metal siding/glazing); and Otis Canada/ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd. (elevators/escalators).
