Haliburton

Construction work is planned on Highway 35 in the Townships of Algonquin Highlands and Minden Hills this summer to improve road safety and driving conditions.

Work includes repaving Highway 35 for 3.8 kilometres and repairing the Beech River, Kennisis River and the Ox Narrows bridges.

The $5.2-million construction contract was awarded to Miller Paving Limited of Markham and is expected to be complete by fall 2009. During construction, drivers on Highway 35 will have to share a single lane.
