EDMONTON
Alberta architect Vivian Manasc of Manasc Isaac Architects has been appointed to the National Capital Commission’s (NCC) advisory committee on planning, design and realty.
The committee provides advice on long-range plans and policies, design proposals and property issues affecting federal lands in the National Capital Region.
“When cities and national capitals are more significant than ever, the NCC advisory committee shapes the image of Canada in the world”, said Manasc.
“I’m honoured to be appointed and look forward to working with colleagues to define Canada’s future as a leader in the planning and design of a sustainable country.”
A former president of The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Manasc is a director of the Canada Green Building Council and an adjunct professor of architecture at the University of Calgary.
