Work continues on the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre Emergency expansion project in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Aecon Atlantic’s crews expand Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre
The two-storey Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre project was designed by WHW Architects Inc. Construction manager Aecon Atlantic Group began the project in August 2007 and completion is scheduled for March 2009.
Consultants are BMR Structural Engineering (structural) and FC O’Neill Scriven Associates Ltd. (mechanical/electrical).
Subcontractors include MacLellan Construction Services Ltd. (sitework); RKO Steel Ltd. (structural steel); Omega Formwork Inc.; Rendan Fabricators Ltd. (rebar) Quality Concrete and Precision Concrete Services Ltd. (concrete finishing).
Also on the list of subcontractors are Reddick Bros. Masonry Ltd.; Tartan Drywall Ltd.; Ralph Connor Co. Ltd. (flooring); Ray Hartlin Painting Ltd.; Atlantica Mechanical Contractors Inc.; Bond & Coolen Contracting Ltd. (electrical); Viking Fire Protection; Flynn Canada Ltd. (siding) and McCarthy’s Roofing Ltd.
