Work continues on the M-Wing Shell/P&G Fit-Up at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto.

Vanbots Construction pushes ahead at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre site

General contractor Vanbots Construction Corp. expects completion of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre project by the end of June 2010.

The work includes adding the shell of floors 4 through 7 and a mechanical penthouse on the 8th floor.

The architects for the project are G + G Partnership Architects/HOK Architects and Parkin Architects Ltd.

Consultants are Carruthers & Wallace Ltd. (structural) and H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd. (mechanical/electrical).

Subcontractors include Groundworks Construction Co. Ltd. (excavation); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (shoring/caissons); Alliance Forming Ltd; CBM (concrete supply); Village Masonry Construction Inc.; Harris Rebar and M & G Steel Ltd. (structural steel).

Other companies on the list of subcontractors include Darlington Steel (metal fabrications); Oakdale Drywall & Acoustics Ltd.; Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Guild Electric Ltd.; Ontario Electrical Construction Ltd. (fire alarm system); Gage Metal Cladding Ltd. (zinc roofing/steel deck); Flynn Canada Ltd. (metal siding/roofing/sheet metal) and Kone Inc. (elevators).
