Glass work progresses at the new Archives of Ontario building located at York University in Toronto.
PCL builds history into Archives of Ontario
PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began the design/build project in May 2007 and completion has been scheduled for March 2009.
The project, designed by Bregman + Hamann Architects, will include a seven-storey research tower for the university and a three-storey podium that will house the archives.
Consultants are Halsall Associates Ltd. (structural) and Smith & Andersen Consulting Engineering (mechanical/electrical).
Subtrades include American Construction & Excavating Ltd.; Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd.; The Hardrock Group (formwork); Res Precast; St. Marys CBM (concrete supply); Limen Masonry; Modern Niagara Toronto Inc. (mechanical); The Plan Group (electrical); Transit Glass; Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing/waterproofing); CNIM Canada (elevators); and UCC Group Inc. (landscape).
