Work continues at the new Durham Consolidated Courthouse in Oshawa, Ontario.

PCL Constructors keep order at Durham courthouse construction project

PCL Constructors Canada Inc. began the five-storey Durham Consolidated Courthouse project in May 2007. Completion of the design-build project is expected late in 2009.

The courthouse facility will include 33 courtrooms, three motion rooms and conference/settlement rooms.

The architect for the project is WZMH Architects and the consultants are Halsall Associates Ltd. and Johnson Controls LP.

Subtrades include Ron Robinson (excavating); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (shoring/caissons); Avenue (formwork); Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar supply) and Res Precast Inc. Also on the list of subtrades are Benson Steel Ltd. (structural steel); CBM (concrete supply); GA Masonry; Sayers & Associates (mechanical); Plan Group (electrical); Verval Ltee. (curtainwall); and Otis Canada (elevators).
