The new Junior Academy private school takes shape at 2454 Bayview Avenue in Toronto.

H & R Construction Management makes progress at private Junior Academy

H & R Construction Management is overseeing the construction of the two-storey Junior Academy building. The facility will feature a 20,000-square-foot, full-size gymnasium below grade.

Designed by Superkul Inc. Architect for owner Dibri Inc., the building is scheduled to be completed in July 2008.

Consultants on the project are Blackwell Bowick Partnership Ltd. (structural); M & E Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical); Masongsong Associates Engineering Ltd. (civil); Forward Engineering and Associates Inc. (geotechnical) Isherwood Geostructural Engineers (shoring); and NAK Design Group (landscape).

Subtrades include Lions Group Inc. (excavation); Drillco Foundation Co. Ltd.; Gilbert Steel Ltd.; GTA Forming; Coreslab Structures (Ontario) Inc. (precast); Skyhawk Steel Construction Ltd. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); Lazzer Masonry Contracting; Heritage Mechanical Ltd.; Industralite Electric Co. Ltd.; Forest City Fire Protection; Applewood Glass & Mirror Inc.; and Dufferin Roofing Ltd.
