EllisDon stays sharp at Maple Leaf Culinary Centre

Steel work takes shape for the Maple Leaf Culinary Centre in Mississauga, Ontario.
Design-build contractor EllisDon Corp. started the work in September 2007. Completion is scheduled for March 2009.
The six-storey facility includes office space, cooking facilities and a penthouse mechanical room.
The project was designed by Adamson Associates Architects.
Consultants are Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural); Sprint Insight Inc. (d-b mechanical); Bernie Electric (d-b electrical); and Baker Turner Inc. (landscape).
Subtrades include Niran Construction Ltd. (site work/excavation/asphalt); Drillco Foundation Co. Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Diplock (formwork); Salit Steel (rebar supply); Advanced Precast; Tresman Steel Industries Ltd. (structural steel); Innocon Inc. (concrete supply); Kappeler Masonry Corp.; C & H Fire Suppression Systems Inc. (fire protection); DMC Mechanical Ltd. (sheet metal); Vixman Construction Ltd. (metal deck); Applewood Glass & Mirror; Kone Inc. (elevators); and Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing).
