Tridel Corp. makes progress at Meridian Residences condominium project

Workers tend to a load of materials at The Meridian Residences Phase 2 condominium at Yonge Street and Finch Avenue in North York, Ont.
Tridel Corp., along with Hullmark Developments, began the 26-storey, 406-unit building with three-level podium and 10 townhomes in April 2005. Completion has been scheduled for spring 2008. The work includes indoor/outdoor water features, a pool/whirlpool/sauna, fitness centre, billiards/card room, party room, golf simulator and more. There will also be three levels of underground parking and ground-floor retail.
The Meridian Residences were designed by Rafael + Bigauskas Architect Inc. Consultants are: Sigmund Soudack & Associates (structural); and A & G Engineering Ltd. (mechanical/electrical). Subtrades include: Magine General Contractors Inc. (excavation/site work); Consolidated 2000 Inc. (formwork); Global Precast; Venice Masonry; Primo Mechanical Inc. (mechanical/fire protection.; Speedy Electric Contractor Inc.; Toro Aluminum Ltd. (windows); Multiseal Inc. (waterproofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
