Burloak Water Purification Plant construction going well

Work continues on the wave shaped roof of the new Burloak Water Purification Plant Phase One in Oakville, Ontario. General contractor North America Construction (1993) Ltd. began the drinking water purification plant in April 2006 and completion is expected for February 2008. The Burloak Water Purification Plant was designed by Shaw Architect Inc. Brown & Storey Architects (Pre-design Architect). Consultants are MacViro Consultants Inc. (structural/civil/electrical) and Earthtech Canada (mechanical). Subcontractors include: Ambler Excavation; Harris Rebar; North America Construction (1993) Ltd. (shoring/caissons/mechanical/electrical); Coreslab Structures (Ont.) Inc. (precast); Erwin Steel & Vision Almet (structural steel); James Dick/Hamilton Ready Mix (concrete supply); Bernel Masonry; NAC/Wesco (fire protection); Panels & Pipes Ltd. (HVAC/sheet metal); Sirron Systems (instrumentation); Bramdoor/KYIV (windows); Vanderwall Group (steel gage trusses); Nedlaw Roofing; and Schindler Elevators Corp.
