Work continues for the new office and warehouse of OPTECH at 300 Interchange Way in Vaughan, Ont. General contractor Urbacon Building Group Corp. began the two-storey, design-build project in October and completion has been scheduled for May. The OPTECH office and warehouse was designed by Sabin Baidoc Architect. The owner is Bentall Real Estate Service and their representative is T.A. Clarke and Associates. Consultants are: IBI Group (planning); Dorlan Engineering Consultants Inc. (structural); Bering Mechanical Ltd.; Dial One Wolfedale Electric Ltd.; and Brodie & Associates Landscape Architects Inc. Subtrades include: Topsite Contracting Ltd. (excavation); Drillco Foundation Co. Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Blvd. Contracting Inc. (formwork/rebar supply); Architectural Precast Systems Inc.; Lorvin Steel Ltd. (structural steel); St. Marys CBM (concrete supply); TriCon Concrete Finishing Co. Ltd.; Tonel Masonry Ltd.; Marel Contractors (drywall); Decoral (paint); Calligaro Tile (floor finish); Vipond Inc. (sprinklers/fire protection); Commercial Sheet Metal; York Central Glass (windows); Nedlaw Roofing; Schindler Elevator Ltd.; and Lafarge (asphalt/paving).
