Reaching the Roof

Construction has reached the rooftop for The King Liberty Retail and Commercial Complex on Hanna Avenue in Toronto. Buttcon Ltd. began the four-storey building with three levels of underground parking at the end of last March and completion has been scheduled for June.
The Project Team
The King Liberty complex was designed by IBI Group. Consultants are Yolles (structural); and Hidi Rae Consulting Engineers (mechanical/electrical). Subtrades include: L. Regina Construction Co. (excavation/backfill); Avenue Building (formwork/precast stairs); Gilbert Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Advanced Precast Inc.; Core Architectural Metal; Dufferin Concrete; Village Masonry; Hi Rise Mechanical Contracting; Nortown Electrical Contractors Associates; General Sprinklers (fire protection); Applewood Glass & Mirror Inc. (glazing/curtain wall & window aluminum doors); C & A Tedesco Waterproofing Inc.; Performance Barriers (roofing/metal doors & frames); and Schindler Elevator Corp.
