Ontario Street Hostel

Work begins to wind down for the Sojourn House hostel and transitional housing project for refugees on Ontario Street in Toronto. General contractor Lisgar Construction Co. began the nine-storey, 70-unit building last May and it will be completed this month.
The Project Team
The Sojourn House was designed by Fleiss Gates McGowan Easton Architects Inc. Consultants are: Stephenson Engineering (structural); Brumar Engineering (mechanical); Mistry Engineering (electrical). Subcontractors include: Lisgar Construction Co. (excavation); Deep Foundations Contractors Inc. (caissons); Harris Omer (rebar supply); Dufferin Concrete; Venice Masonry; Group Mechanical Inc.; Tricin Electric Ltd.; Primeline Windows; Performance Barriers (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
