Battery Park Bucket

A concrete bucket gets lifted up at the Battery Park at Liberty Village condominiums in Toronto. Owner/general contractor Monarch Corporation began the 24-storey, 316-unit project in December 2004 and completion is expected by November. The work includes three levels of underground parking and retail on the ground floor.

The Project Team

The Battery Park project was designed by Graziani Corazza Architects Inc. Consultants are: Kazmar Associates Ltd. (structural); The ECE Group (mechanical/electrical); and NAK Design Group (landscape). Subcontractors include: Gottardo (excavation); Rumble Foundations (Ontario) Ltd. (shoring/caissons); Premform Ltd. (formwork); Salit Steel Ltd. (rebar supply); Global Precast; Roman Metal Fabricating Ltd. (structural steel); Dufferin Concrete (concrete supply); Di Rocco Masonry; Bellwood Sheet Metal Ltd. (HVAC); Primo Mechanical (plumbing); Jay Electric Ltd.; Primeline Windows Inc.; Multiseal Contracting Co. (roofing); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
