LAKERIDGE PROJECT

Work progresses on the new Durham Regional Cancer Centre at the Lakeridge Health Centre in Oshawa, Ont. General contractor EllisDon Corp. has completion of the nine-storey centre with underground parking scheduled for summer 2006. The project was designed by Dunlop Architects Inc./Murphy Hilgers Architects joint venture. Consultants are Carruthers & Wallace Ltd. (structural); and H.H. Angus & Associates Ltd. (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Giardex Contracting Ltd. (excavation); Anchor Shoring & Caissons Ltd.; EllisDon Forming; (formwork); Harris/Omer Rebar (rebar supply); Azimuth Three Enterprises Inc. (structural steel); Dufferin Concrete (concrete supply); Fox Masonry Ltd.; Geo. A. Kelson Co. Ltd. (mechanical); Ontario Electrical Co. (electrical); and Zimmcor Inc. (windows).
