NANAIMO CENTREPIECE

Cape Development Corp.’s $50-million Pacifica waterfront development will go up on the site of the old Malaspina Hotel in Nanaimo, B.C. Designed by Gomberoff Bell Lyon Architects, the 20-storey condominium high-rise will feature 157 suites and 26 four-storey townhouses at grade. The complex is expected to become the centrepiece of the Vancouver Island downtown redevelopment. Completion is scheduled for 2006.
