WEST END WORK

Work progresses for the West Building of the Accolade Project at York University in Toronto. PCL Constructors Canada Inc. has the design build project scheduled for completion in August. The building will have lecture halls including a 400-seat and a 300-seat lecture theatre. The project was designed by Bregman + Hamann Architects and Zeidler Partnership Architects in a joint venture. Consultants are: Halsall Associates Ltd. (structural); Smith & Andersen Consulting Engineering (mechanical); and Carinci Burt Rogers Engineering Inc. (electrical). Subtrades include: Aro Excavating Ltd.; Fourwinds Construction Inc. (site services); Rumble Foundations (Ontario) Ltd.; Structform International Ltd./Hardrock Forming (formwork); Salit Steel Niagara Ltd. (rebar supply); Sayers & Associates Ltd. (mechanical); The State Group Commercial Ltd. (electrical); and ThyssenKrupp Elevator Ltd.
