Construction is taking shape at the Brampton Centre For The Performing Arts auditorium in Brampton, Ont. General contractor Aecon Buildings began the 850-seat, two-storey facility with three levels of underground parking last April and completion is scheduled for February 2006. The project was designed by Page Steele Inc. Consultants are Stephenson Engineering Ltd. (structural); and Leipciger Kaminker Mitelman & Partners (mechanical/electrical). Subcontractors include: Graff Concrete Cutting (demolition); Res Group (formwork); Harris Rebar (rebar supply); Architectural Precast Systems (precast); Azimuth Three Enterprises Inc. (structural steel); Lafarge (concrete supply); Limen Masonry Ltd.; Adelt Mechanical Works Ltd.; R.E. Wilson Electrical Contractors (2000) Inc.; Ferguson-Neudorf Glass Inc. (windows); Semple-Gooder Roofing Ltd./Bothwell-Accurate Co. Ltd. (roofing); and Otis Canada Inc. (elevators).
